Heru Hair Comb
This beautiful Heru Māori Hair Comb is made from native Rimu wood. It features a koru design with paua inlay on both sides.
This ornamental comb has four pins to sit securely in your hair, whether you wear it in a bun, top knot or pony tail.
Heru were traditionally worn by men to fasten their long hair, which was oiled and braided up into top knots. Often they were also decorated with bird feathers. The Heru indicated the rank of the wearer, and were usually carved from wood or bone.
