New Zealand's Night Sky: Prominent Stars and Constellations

$16.00 NZD

New Zealand’s Night Sky: Prominent Stars and Constellations is a fold out star chart featuring prominent stars and constellations in New Zealand’s skies.

Compiled in a compact, brochure-style fold out chart, it includes two glow in the dark star maps. One details New Zealand’s sky as it is in December, and the other in June. The chart also contains a brief description of each constellation to be seen in New Zealand’s night sky.

As well as well-known constellations like Scorpius and Leo, this chart also includes constellations with special meaning in New Zealand such as Maui’s Fish Hook and Matariki.

At a dark observing location, well away from city lights, with still, clear, moonless skies, you can see more than 2000 stars without the aid of binoculars or a telescope. New Zealand’s Night Sky: Prominent Stars and Constellations includes the brightest stars and constellations seen from New Zealand after sunset without optical aids in both Summer and Winter.
