Puriri Moth Enamel Pin
The Puriri Moth Enamel Pin by Natty is inspired by the bright green pūriri moth - Aotearoa’s largest moth with a wingspan of up to 15 cm.
Found only in the North Island, the moth does not have any mouthparts and therefore cannot eat, so dies after about two days. As a caterpillar, it spends much of its life living inside the trunk of a tree. It stays here until it reaches about 10cm long, which can take up to five years.
The pūriri moth's distinctive green markings are captured beautifully by Berhampore-based Natty in this enamel pin. Ideal for adding style and personality to any outfit, this gorgeous pin looks great on a jacket lapel, shirt or bag.
