Celebrate the Wellington Cable Car's 120th birthday with the limited edition Wellington Chocolate Factory Cable Car Salted Caramel Chocolate.

In the late 1800’s, Wellington was the fastest growing city in the country. With that came demand for transport for locals of Kelburne and Karori to be able to easily access going to and from Lambton Quay. With that, the Directors of The Upland Estate Company started construction on the Kelburne & Karori Tramway Company in 1889 and opened on Febryary 22nd 1902.

Since then, the Cable Car has seen two World War’s, plagues, and pestilence, facelifts and an assortment of challenges. It has stood the test of time and will lock up many more trips to come.

To celebrate this milestone, Wellington Cable Car have partnered up with the Wellington Chocolate Factory (WCF) to create this  Limited Edition Cable Car Chocolate bar. There will be only 1,500 made and within those bars is 120 golden tickets to be found.

This delicious bar features house-made brittle caramel and Marlborough sea salt atop Wellington Chocolate Factory's house-blend chocolate. Simple, sweet, delicious!
