Born in Osaka in 1938, Daido Moriyama is regarded as one of the first people to use the avant-garde 'rough, blurry, out of focus' aesthetic with which he and his associates subsequently became identified. He has had major exhibitions all over the world, continually expanding the parameters of photograhy as if to breaking point.
