Mini Great Spotted Kiwi Soft Toy and Finger Puppet
The Mini Great Spotted Kiwi Soft Toy and Finger Puppet is an adorably tiny plush version of New Zealand’s iconic kiwi bird.
The kiwi is a unique and curious bird: it cannot fly, has loose, hair-like feathers, strong legs and no tail. It is an international icon of New Zealand and unofficial national emblem.
Kiwi are ratites. The closest relatives to kiwi today is the elephant bird from Madagascar. They are also related to emus and cassowaries of Australia, and the extinct moa of New Zealand. Kiwi can live for between 25 and 50 years.
This children’s toy includes some of the Great Spotted Kiwi’s iconic features such as its mottled brownish-grey feathers, long pale bill and short legs. It makes a lovely gift for tamariki.
