Wheku Tee
Whēku are generally found at the gable of a wharenui, and are carved representations of a human face.
The whēku was designed in the Arawa style, by Tukiri Tini (Te Arawa, Tainui and Waikato), and is a symbolic representation of the wearers’ tūpuna.
