Greetings From Wellington Card by Sharon Murdoch

This Greetings From Wellington greeting card is by Pōneke based artist and cartoonist Sharon Murdoch. It features the classic Wellington windswept hairdo.

Known as the World's windiest capital, Wellington often has gusts up to over 120km/h! Wellington's strongest recorded gust of 154mph (247kmh) was measured on Hawkins Hill in 1962.

Sharon Murdoch is a New Zealand cartoonist who regularly produces cartoons for the Dominion Post, Sunday Star Times and The Press. She won Cartoonist of the Year in 2016 and 2017 for the Canon Media Awards.

Murdoch lives in Pōneke with her cat Munro who also features in many of her cartoons.
