Fantail Rimu Necklace
This gorgeous Fantail Necklace is made from New Zealand rimu. Painted by hand, this unique piece was designed and made right here in Wellington.
This necklace features four little laser cut fantails, hand-painted in white and metallic gold. The antique bronze coloured chain complements the warm tones of the timber, both contrasting beautifully with the bright white detailing.
This pretty necklace adds a lovely final touch to any outfit, and also makes a fabulous gift.
Known for their ‘cheet cheet’ calls and energetic flying antics, the aptly named fantail or pīwakawaka is one of the most common and widely distributed native birds in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
