Cable Car Museum Donation

Cable Car Museum is part of Wellington Museums Trust, a registered charitable trust. By making a Cable Car Museum Donation you are helping us share the story behind one of Pōneke's top 10 things to do! With your help we can continue to show visitors the winding mechanism operational from 1902 until 1978 and the two original grip cars that operated on the line you ride on today.

While much of our funding is provided by Wellington City Council, we are dependent upon the generosity of our supporters and partners to ensure that we are able to share our collections with the world. By making a donation to one of our museums, you are helping to support our conservation, acquisition and educational programmes as well as the maintenance of our iconic buildings.
