Taking traditional silhouettes to re-imagine the notion of protection, nurture and connection to tīpuna. These unique and contemporary pieces are great for expressing authority, confidence and connection to identity.

 

  • Features: The surface of the design is hand-painted into the designed etching. When worn the pieces dangle asymmetric to the side of the face.
  • Bound by: Glue and Stainless steel post and ear pad

Based in Whakatane, MISS MAIA features a collection of bright and bold futurist jewellery designs that weave traditional Māori symbolism and contemporary materials together, each with their own story to tell. MISS MAIA seeks to re-indigenise, remember, and reclaim – inviting others to express their own creativity and whakapapa. Made from laser-cut acrylic material and assembled by hand.
