Tania Tupu
Tania Tupu, Ngāti Porou, is a jewellery designer and maker of contemporary Māori and Pacific inspired adornment. Her studio is located in the picturesque beach settlement of Titahi Bay, Porirua. A talented businesswoman, Tania has also operated retail stores in Raglan and Nelson, worked for The Great War Exhibition and is currently the General Manager of Te Papa Stores at New Zealand's National Museum.
Tania also represented the Tall Ferns-NZ Women’s Basketball team from 1992-2004, donning the black jersey at the Sydney and Athens Olympic games. Tania and husband Chris Tupu (Former Tall Black 1991-2000) continue to give back to Basketball through coaching juniors and school aged kids in Wellington.
